Directed by Keaton and Clyde Bruckman and starring Keaton alongside Marion Mack and Glen Cavender, this landmark of silent comedy follows railroad engineer Johnnie Gray, who sets off on a wild and increasingly perilous chase after Union soldiers steal his beloved locomotive–and kidnap his sweetheart in the process. Packed with breathtaking stunts, deadpan comedy and some of the most spectacular physical filmmaking of the silent era, THE GENERAL is now widely regarded as one of the greatest comedies ever made. And there’s no better way to experience a silent film than with live music performed in the theatre, bringing the action, suspense and comedy to life in a way no recorded soundtrack can duplicate. This is a must-see special event for fans of Buster Keaton, silent cinema and classic film! Digital presentation. Tickets are at the door and online at thegaptheatre.com Showtime at 3pm. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. No Refunds or transfers.”,”offers”:[{“@type”:”Offer”,”category”:”primary”,”name”:”THE GENERAL (1926) with Live Organ Accompaniment by Ian Fraser”,”price”:”15.00″,”priceCurrency”:”USD”,”availability”:”InStock”,”validFrom”:”2026-10-07T00:00:00-0400″,”validThrough”:”2026-11-29T17:30:00-0500″,”url”:”https://events.ticketleap.com/tickets/gap-theatre/the-general-1926-with-live-organ-accompaniment-by-ian-fraser”}],”location”:{“@context”:”http://schema.org”,”@type”:”Place”,”name”:”Gap Theatre”,”address”:{“@context”:”http://schema.org”,”@type”:”PostalAddress”,”streetAddress”:”47 South Broadway”,”addressLocality”:”Wind Gap”,”addressRegion”:”PA”,”postalCode”:”18091″,”addressCountry”:”US”}}}
