Starring Marie Liljedahl in her screen debut, the film follows a sheltered young woman who leaves her rural home for Stockholm, where she begins an awakening of both her sexuality and independence. Combining romance, comedy, and coming-of-age drama, INGA became an international sensation and helped establish the Swedish erotic film craze in America.
