 c independent cinema\, Sarno crafted films that blend melodrama\, characte

 ic control. First up is DESIRE UNDER THE PALMS (1968)\, directed by Joseph
  W. Sarno and starring Marie Liljedahl and Ingrid Steen. Set against a sun
 -drenched tropical backdrop\, the film follows a young woman whose arrival
  in an exotic resort community triggers a chain of romantic entanglements\
