 gins at 7:00pm The festivities begin with BLACK SABBATH (1963)\, the US ve
 rsion of Bava's classic anthology of terror starring Boris Karloff in a tr
 io of chilling tales involving a vengeful corpse\, a haunted telephone\, a
 nd a vampire-like creature stalking a terrified family. Next\, myth and ho
 rror collide in HERCULES IN THE HAUNTED WORLD (1962)\, starring bodybuilde
 r legend Reg Park\, Christopher Lee\, and Leonora Ruffo. When Hercules jou
 rneys into the underworld to save his beloved from a sinister usurper\, he
  must battle monsters\, ghosts\, and unspeakable supernatural forces in on
 e of Bava's most visually spectacular achievements. The evening concludes 
 with BEYOND THE DOOR II (aka. SHOCK) (1977)\, starring Daria Nicolodi\, Jo
 hn Steiner\, and David Colin Jr. In Bava's haunting final feature\, a wido
 w and her young son move into a country home only to find themselves torme
 nted by the spirit of her deceased husband\, leading to a terrifying desce
 nt into possession\, madness\, and supernatural horror. Saturday\, August 
 8 -- All-Day Marathon Begins at Noon The marathon begins with the film tha
 t launched Bava's directorial career and changed horror cinema forever: BL
 ACK SUNDAY (1960). Starring the incomparable Barbara Steele\, this gothic 
 masterpiece follows the resurrection of a centuries-old witch who returns 
 from the grave to exact vengeance upon her descendants. Next comes THE GIR
 L WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (1963)\, starring Let?cia Rom?n and John Saxon. Often 
 cited as the first true giallo thriller\, the film follows an American tou
 rist in Rome who witnesses a murder but finds herself trapped in a web of 
 mystery\, deception\, and serial killings. Fashion becomes deadly in BLOOD
  AND BLACK LACE (1964)\, starring Cameron Mitchell\, Eva Bartok\, and Thom
 as Reiner. After a murder at a prestigious fashion house\, a masked killer
  begins stalking and eliminating models one by one in a visually dazzling 
 thriller that would become one of the most influential horror films ever m
 ade. The supernatural returns in KILL\, BABY... KILL! (1966)\, starring Gi
 acomo Rossi Stuart\, Erika Blanc\, and Fabienne Dali. A doctor investigati
 ng a series of mysterious deaths in a remote village discovers that the sp
 irit of a young girl may be behind the mounting terror. One of the most no
 torious shockers of the 1970s follows with A BAY OF BLOOD (1971)\, starrin
 g Claudine Auger\, Luigi Pistilli\, and Claudio Camaso. A brutal struggle 
 for ownership of a valuable bay erupts into betrayal\, greed\, and an esca
